WHY WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT
Shortly after the park opened it became apparent that municipal funding for Eagle Creek Park would not be sufficient in order for this remarkable natural resource to meet its full potential.Â
That’s when members of the Eagle Creek Park Advisory Committee recognized the need for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization to help raise money for unfunded park projects, and formed the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.
The Foundation’s mission is to promote, preserve, protect, and enhance Eagle Creek Park.
With your support, we provide financial and volunteer resources above and beyond limited city funding to support essential park projects and programs.

Publicly traded stocks are the most commonly donated

fund shares, or closely held stock.
You can also choose to make an outright gift or use appreciated stock to fund a gift that provides you with an income stream, such as charitable gift annuities or charitable remainder trusts.

When you donate real estate, you help may help Eagle Creek Park Foundation and yourself as it might provide benefits around a federal income tax deduction, avoiding paying capital gains tax, and removing maintenance, property taxes, insurance, and other burdens.
One of our board members would be happy to speak with you, your financial advisor, realtor, or other professional advisors regarding how to leverage a real estate donation to Eagle Creek Park Foundation, and how it could benefit you.Â
IRA AND INSURANCE POLICIES
Making a gift directly from your IRA may count toward your required minimum distribution (RMD), reduce your tax burden, and potentially provide other benefits.
Whether it’s an IRA or life insurance or other account, you might also consider designating Eagle Creek Park Foundation as a beneficiary.
BEQUESTS AND ESTATE GIFTS
As one of the most flexible options for donating, an estate gift lets you maintain control of your assets in your lifetime by making a gift through your will or trust.
Your gift is revocable, so you can change your mind if circumstances change. You’ll be able to extend your generosity beyond your lifetime.
