Be Responsible

Group discussing what being responsible at park means

What does it mean to be a responsible recreator?

It is such a joy to know that so many people have rediscovered the beauty and respite that is nature. Eagle Creek Park is the perfect place to take a break from the crazy new reality we find ourselves in these days. As more people come to enjoy the park, there can also be an increase in some of the things we are coming to the park to escape from.

Recently, we sat down, socially distant of course, to discuss some of the feedback we have gotten from folks who visit the park. The main road through the park is beautiful as it winds its way through the terrain of the property. Many people take advantage of the flat surface for biking, jogging and walking many with smaller children in strollers.

We encourage everyone to drive slowly and enjoy the slower pace of life we lead inside the park. It is truly a refuge and place of solace for today’s world. Your behavior matters to everyone and everything around you so leave your stress at the gate, feel the expanse of nature, breathe the fresh air. Join with the Eagle Creek Park Foundation as we strive to preserve, protect, promote and enhance this beautiful resource!
