Tour will span across the west side of Indianapolis and showcase beautiful works of art from

For the third consecutive year, the Eagle Creek Park Foundation is hosting its annual adventure race fundraiser, the Iron Eagle Paddle & Run, on Saturday, July 25 at Eagle Creek Park’s beach, on Indianapolis’ northwest side.

The Eagle Creek Park Foundation is hosting its 14th annual Kids Fishing Derby from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 6 at Eagle Creek Park’s Coffer Dam, located at the first right south of the 71st Street gate on the city’s northwest side.

Nearly a dozen of Indiana’s finest woodworkers will showcase nature-themed artistic and functional artwork during Eagle Creek Park’s 24th annual Woodcarver, Woodturner & Woodburner exhibit and sale Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8 at the park’s Earth Discovery Center, 5901 Delong Road.

We’d like to thank our friends at Go Ape for the generous donation of $750 from the Park Friends Fundraiser they hosted in early October! The course will remain open through Dec. 7, and will reopen April 1, 2015.

The Hoosier Hikers Council created a 1.25-mile in-kind sustainable hiking trail at Eagle’s Crest Nature Preserve as a way for parkgoers to experience the rolling topography, breathtaking views and high-quality hardwood forest on the west side of the park! In appreciation for their partnership with Indy Parks & Recreation, Go Ape at Eagle Creek Park announces a Park Friends Fundraiser. On Saturday, Oct. 4 and Sunday, Oct. 5, $10 of every ticket sold will go back to the park through a donation to The Eagle Creek Park Foundation.

The family of the late Gordon G. Gilmer, former 1st District City-County Councilor from Pike Township, is hosting an anniversary event to rededicate the Gordon Gilmer Canine Companion Zone (Gordon Gilmer CCZ) and unveil a new canine wooden statue from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 21, sponsored by Indy Parks and the Eagle Creek Park Foundation.
